- What plans do you have for July 4? What, if anything, will it have to do with our nation’s birth? What percentage do you think give thought to this?
- What was the origin of the Passover festival? How significant was the event it commemorates?
- What was the tenth plague upon Egypt? What was unique about this one?
- Why did Israel have to put blood on their door frames that night?
- What does “substitution” have to do with Christ’s work on the cross? Why is penal substitution the central biblical understanding of Christ’s atonement?
- What are some other descriptions of Christ’s atoning work for us?
- Fathers in Israel had to protect their children from the destroying angel by applying blood to their doorframes. What does this say about the spiritual obligation of Christian parents toward their children? What support does this lend to the baptism of covenant children?
- If you are a parent, what are you doing to ensure the spiritual protection of your covenant children? What responsibility do parents still have to their adult children?
- Is your testimony of coming to faith in Christ “dramatic”? Have you ever shared your testimony with others? What would you say in your testimony?
- Israel would have a dramatic testimony of God’s delivering them. How much did a dramatic salvation help them? What helps more in walking with Christ?
