“LIKE SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD”
(Mark 6:30-34)
INTRODUCTION: We are sheep in need of a shepherd.
I. WE MUST SEE THAT WE ARE SHEEP.
II. WE MUST SEEK THE SHEPHERD.
III. WE MUST HEED THE WORD OF GOD.

- How well-rested are you generally? What are the stressors in your life?
- What was Jesus’ response when he saw that the people were like sheep without a shepherd? Why did he take this action?
- What is a worldview? How do we form a worldview? What are some prominent elements of your worldview? Why do most people try to live from a delusional, false worldview?
- Explain the process of correcting a faulty worldview.
- What are some characteristics of sheep? Why is it essential that we see ourselves as sheep?
- Why do we follow shepherds? What kinds of “shepherds” do most people follow? What are the strengths and weaknesses of these shepherds?
- What qualifies Jesus alone to serve as the true shepherd for us? Give as many reasons as you can?
- What is the customary effect of our following Jesus as our Shepherd when it comes to the attitudes of other people toward us?
- Describe several popular views of God today? Why do you think people prefer these to the biblical view of God?
- Describe your understanding of who God is? How consistently do you live according to this view of God? What changes do you need to make?
- Describe your view of yourself? How well does this reflect the Bible’s view?
- Read through Psalm 23. What makes Jesus desirable as your Shepherd?
